* a mulher. a máscara. a sereia. *
*the woman. the mask. the siren*.
this solo work explores the process of witnessing, transforming, and experiencing. Throughout this piece, you are immersed in the world of the elusive and in between. With her foot in two worlds, the woman (a mulher) ,the mask (a máscara), and the siren (a sereia) all come together to express the joys and burdens of their interpersonal reality in a way to experience true freedom and understanding of the human, spiritual, and ritual experience.
this piece is an invitation towards vulnerability and audacity. Two factors of my interpersonal experience I am learning how to accept and practice on a ritual and consistent level.
This solo body of work is an ongoing personal practice; an evolving ritual rather a finished piece. Every time it is performed, it is restaged to fit its’ environment and it adapts a new purpose of invocation. This piece is the first body of work that will inspire and support revisiting, reimagining, and restaging.
and I look more to creating more
