Presented by Shawl-Anderson Dance Center and featuring artists from the fiscal sponsorship program, this event highlights the power of artistic community, collaboration, and creative risk-taking.

Please be sure to arrive 15 minutes before curtain. Parking around Dance Mission can be tricky. We recommend taking BART, as we are directly across the street from the 24/Mission stop. We are also on MUNI Lines 12, 14. 49, 48, and 67. If you do drive, give yourself plenty of time to find street parking. The closest parking lot is at 21/Bartlett Streets, about a 5 min walk away.

Krissy Keefer’s Dance Brigade presents Match Girrl, a fractured fairy tale about the American Dream.

We are excited to announce the World Premiere of Match Girrl! Join Krissy Keefer’s Dance Brigade for this deep, heartening, and humorous reimagining of Hans Chrisitan Anderson’s fairy tale classic, The Little Match Girl. Set in a contemporary urban setting, Keefer uses dance, theater, and original text to explore the American Dream and the ever expanding wealth gap.

Created and directed by Krissy Keefer, lights by Harry Rubeck, sound by Jabari Tawiah, video by Lena Gatchalian, set by Lisa Calderon, and performed by Sarah Bush, Kimberly B Valmore, Deb’e Taylor, KJ Dahlaw, Frances Sedayao, Megan Lowe, dominique hargrove, Johanna Gormley, Bianca Mendoza-Prado and Sierra Tiatia.

Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to showtime as there is NO LATE SEATING.

Tickets are $20-$35. We recommend using the seating map to choose your seat. Please save wheelchair seats and limited mobility seating for those that might need them.

Accessibility:
ASL Interpretation will be offered at the Jan 24th show. Please choose “ASL seating” on seating chart if you will be utilizing the interpreters.
Dance Mission Theater is on the 2nd floor and is accessible via stairs or an elevator.  Bathrooms are ADA accessible as well.
Please choose wheelchair seating or limited mobility seating (not in a wheelchair, but experience difficulty walking up stairs and/or have limited site) if you need it.

“of the flesh”

Come celebrate my first solo show titled “of the flesh” . It will be a spectacle, journey, and an invitation to go beyond what we both know to be true and listen to the blueprint of our body as the original altar and conduit.

Purchase your tickets here. Doors open at 7:00pm. Please stay after for a special after party celebrating my first solo show and staying warm during the winter solstice
