Angie Coleman
I am a professional baker and homesteader for the past three years in the Nevada hills. I am an all around creative that centers their focus in sustainable land practices and creating delicious and soul nourishing meals.
I believe this residency impact will shine a clear light on the practices I have already set in place and guide me further on where I can do deeper in them and how to share them with myself, community, and world. I am thrilled to be opening up my home, land, and artistry with everyone.

Adelf Uti
Visual Artist l Grief Alchemist l Reiki Master l Postpartum DoulaI'm a queer Nigerian alchemist who creates at the threshold between what is seen and what is felt.
My practice is a form of living altar work; a soul language spoken through pigment, ritual, sound, and the unspoken poetry of storytelling. This work is done using oil pastels, collage, graphic art, and installation-based altars built with community. I enjoy making meals for people that are nourishing to mind, body, and spirit.
I am looking forward to the slowness of being on the land, away from the bustling city life. To let my senses recalibrate to the rhythm of the weather, the soil, and the silence. i am also looking forward to learning more wholistic ways to nourish my vessel and exploring the divine creative flow that gets activated with trust that it knows where to take me, even if I don't.

I am a woman of intuitive ancestral magic-weaving together multiple cultural practices to center holistic wellness. Using' art I aim to inspire others to be different-rapping, dancing, singing, poetry etc are my mediums where I am a reflection of authenticity, growth, and transmutation from emotions to art form. I also use the mystic arts to expose people to the deepest parts of themselves using shadow work through journal prompts and mirror activities, reiki, yoga, guided meditations, herbalism, and sound bowl healing
I believe when ,out of survival, we have more clarity on desires and purpose. Nourishment right now is a privilege that we fight for instead of an essential right. With more opportunities like 3 of Cups, more time to set aside and *CHOOSE* wellness, creates clarity for appreciating the pipeline of nourishment: from sky, to manufactures, farmers, consumers, water/ elements, etc
This residency will make me a better community member because I will be able to share a plethora of skill sets to ultimately further the goals and dreams on a interpersonal communal level
The Best Nation is a Donation!!
As an emerging independent and interdisciplinary artist, I understand the importance of needing sacred space and time to reshape my artistic voice. The most influential ways I have seen evolution in my work is through cooking and sacred movement practice. (this includes, somatic stretching, yoga, Pilates, improvisation, contemporary, floor work, ritual etc;)
As an emerging leader, I understand the responsibility of being able to provide artists with proper financial resources to support them in their creation process. whether that's gathering new supplies, helping them cover room and board/gas/airline flights, I am inviting myself to step into this aligned responsibility of being able to afford to pay artists what they are worth and to be able to support in helping them achieve their dreams,
That is why your donation matters. Your tax deductible donations allows me the privilege of being able to provide honorariums to the 3 artists who are participating in this residency and a land steward honorarium to Angie Coleman for graciously opening up her home and land to host and guide us on her experience of being a black woman in the Nevada hills owning and stewarding land.
